UMIK-1 keep disconnecting

As my thread title. I experienced a non pleasant while working with REW. As i did RTA it keep noticing me that UMIK-1 no longer connect.And told me to close REW and re-open REW.Why this is happen?

I already try to check control panel to see if my USB laptop that cause trouble.But everything normal.

Is there anything i can do to solve this issue?Thanks

Probably an issue with the cable (faulty or too long) or the connectors or connectors not being fully inserted.

Been tried that solution too John. But nothing works, it begin to keep disconnecting after i run RTA on REW about 20 minutes or more inside the car. But when i put my laptop on bedroom desk and do same RTA with REW. The problem solved as it goes normal

I know I have a usb mic cable that works until I move it the wrong way. I use another cable and it never disconnects.

Have you tried a different cable?

Yes i have tried using other cables and laptops. The problem only appear when i bring the laptop inside the car. Put it on my lap in driver seat and start tuning using UMIK-1 and REW.Everything goes completely normal at first 1 hour. After that REW always told to restart the program since UMIK-1 no longer detected.

Check the power settings to make sure that the laptop isn't turning off the USB interface to save power, see this article for example.
