Trinnov Audio has a history of pushing boundaries, and its newest release is no exception. Today, the company is unveiling AltitudeCI, a fully networked Audio over IP processor explicitly designed for the custom integration market. It is scalable, compact, and engineered to bring Trinnov’s high-performance pedigree to a broader range of projects, from premium media rooms to private cinemas that demand full DCI-grade performance.
What makes the AltitudeCI stand out is its dual native support for both Dante and AES67, making it the first processor in its class to offer seamless integration across consumer and professional infrastructures. That means direct connectivity to Dolby Atmos and DCI servers over AES67 while managing outputs through Dante, all without the need for converters. It is a rare example of one box offering true compatibility across two pro-grade protocols.
Flexibility is built into the platform. Integrators can configure systems in two channel increments, starting at eight channels and scaling up to 32. And if 32 isn't large enough for your needs, a custom 64-channel edition is expected in 2026. Additionally, channel count upgrades can be activated remotely, allowing systems to expand without hardware swaps or downtime. For integrators, that scalability translates to confidence when specifying projects that might grow over time.
Of course, no Trinnov product is complete without its acoustic toolkit. The AltitudeCI comes loaded with Optimizer, WaveForming, and Remapping, all powered by Trinnov’s software-based 64-bit floating point processing. Together, these tools handle everything from phase and EQ alignment to low-frequency control and layout restrictions in challenging rooms.
The hardware design reflects an installer-friendly mindset. The unit occupies just 2RU, with eight onboard analog outputs ideal for subwoofer arrays or compact 7.1 systems. HDMI connectivity with four inputs and two outputs provides system compatibility, while three configurable Ethernet ports, including two with SFP cages, allow for robust network architecture. A newly redesigned user interface brings guided calibration, lowering the barrier to entry without taking away the depth that experts expect.
To complete the Audio over IP ecosystem, Trinnov is also offering a Dante input option for its Amplitude16 amplifier. This combination delivers a fully digital, end-to-end networked signal path that maintains audiophile-grade performance in a rack-efficient footprint.
Trinnov has also developed a new design and pricing tool that allows integrators to enter details such as speaker counts, crossover configurations, and amplification needs, with the system instantly generating a recommended AltitudeCI configuration and Amplitude16 requirements. Transparent pricing is built in, streamlining proposals and helping integrators match the right gear to the right job.
CEDIA showgoers will be able to experience the AltitudeCI firsthand at Expo 2025 in Denver, inside the Trinnov High Performance Audio room (HPA208). Live demonstrations, partner consultations, and a free training session on September 3rd will give attendees an inside look at the platform and how it fits into real-world projects.
And for readers hungry for more, we recently released a new video on the Trinnov Altitude processor that highlights five unique things Trinnov does that no other brand offers. Be sure to check it out.
