Own one? This is the destination for anyone owning a Power Sound Audio subwoofer. Show us what you have!

I'll kick this off... I've owned two XS30s (which are hulking sealed subs with dual opposed 15-inch drivers) for several years. Bought them on pre-order... what a great decision. They have been fantastic. A combination of raw performance power and room gain has them hitting down into single digits. Devastatingly delicious bass. Build quality is great.

I'm in!

Started with dual XS15s...wasn't enough so I got quad XS15s...still not enough...hmmm, might as well go for broke. Traded the XS15s for dual T-18s...FINALLY, what I was hoping for. you REW! My graph sucked...enter a single S3000 to smooth my response...ahhh, that's better. And, just for the sake of symmetry, I added one more S3000. ;)

Next step: Crowsons.

I started my journey into "real" subwoofers with dual XV15s. I soon upgraded them to the SE drivers and amp modules. They are awesome. I've owned many budget subs over the years and have had the opportunity to listen to some truly amazing equipment, but PSA was my first true subwoofer.

Along with their proven track record of uncompromising customer service, their unbelievable quality and value brought me back. I am happy to say that I am anxiously awaiting the delivery of my very own S7201 Quad 18" 4000W RMS sealed monster. The sub arrived in Los Angeles yesterday 20 August and should be at my local terminal tomorrow. Fingers crossed, I should have my new sub in place on Wednesday.

You have some SERIOUS subwooferage!
I'd love to hear some details about the T-18s. Everything from how difficult they are to move... and how insane their output is! ;-)

Such as a crazy/beautiful sub design.

Did you experience a big bump in performance with the SE Drivers and amp modules? (both aural and measurable?).

Really looking forward to your delivery of the S7201. Welcome to the big leagues! Pictures... maybe some video?? :praying:

The T-18s are surprisingly easy to move with carpet sliders underneath. I can slide them around the room without much effort.

With my first set of PSA subs, I did not put sliders under them....a few months later, I had hernia surgery. Coincidence?? :)

Of course, the T-18s have gobs and gobs of output, but my aesthetics OCD prevented me from having one up front and one in back for best response...hence the addition of the S3000s. :D

I'd imagine the lights dim in your entire neighborhood when Hulk pounds his fists on the ground?

I think you're pretty lucky to have those T-18s. Might be the last time we ever see that kind of cab design!

It was a fairly big jump in performance. I don't use REW or measure my subs other than SPL meter. I did experience higher dB outputs across the board, especially in the lower freqs. The extra excursion, larger magnet, and DSP programming gave me considerably more tactile response. It was just like buying a new subwoofer.

The S7201 has POWERFUL tactile response all the way down to the lowest freq in Edge of Tomorrow's opening scene. Smooth as silk too. Except for the fact that the doors downstairs were flexing in a 3700 sq foot two story home. The pod emergence scene from War of the Worlds at reference is violent. My son is watching it at -17 dB MV right now. I'm in the opposite end of the house in my office and my chair is vibrating. Keep in mind that my house has insulation in all interior walls to lessen sound and vibration too. I played Tron Legacy at -12 db and the light cycle race was crazy.

Here are a few pics. I'll get some measurements and post some more impressions, pics, and video later. I need a Vicodin after hauling this monster up the stairs. It took nearly two hours to pad, wrap, and haul this beast upstairs.

Surprised you didn't pull a muscle. lol. oh man! :)

I did. I was using my legs mostly. I was wearing my climbing harness and the pulley reduction system. My 8 year old son and I would pull to tighten up the ascender on the line, then I would stand up and pull with my legs. I need some Motrin.

More detailed pics showing the craftsmanship and pride put into these amazing subwoofers.

Look at the size of that thing!!!!!! It makes your RTiA 9 look like a bookshelf.

Whoa!

Climber, you get the go-getter award. That's a fairly ingenious system you rigged together.

I'd say so.... I can't wait to here your impressions.

These are the highest quality pics I have thus far. Lighting in my theater room is a very big challenge. The "stealth" coating on the S7201 doesn't make photography any easier either!

Wow, very in-depth detail pictures. Thanks for posting. Very nice.

The website doesn't like embedding large pics. I had to attach them and then add the image into the message manually.

As long as they are able to show up, we are good to go! :) Thanks.

Now that's a sub that would fittingly match the size of my speakers!! :) Congrats, Climber! I'm very jealous!

So.... how does the family feel about this monster?

So.... how does the family feel about this monster?

My 8 year old son woke up yesterday at 0600 for school and sat on the love seat staring at the drivers. He talks about nothing else. My daughter (13 years old) keeps saying "Dang daddy" as she's doing her homework. She loves it too.

My wife is another story altogether. I finally got my wife to enter the room with the sub plugged in. She refused for the last two days. When I played the "entering the wormhole" scene from Interstellar, she had that look on her face. When the scene was over, she said, "I'm not going to be watching in here any more. That thing scares me and makes me feel like I'm going to pee myself or get dizzy and pass out". I told her that it goes louder too. She just shook her head and dove back into her FB session. I don't even have the thing optimized yet either. I'm running about 8 dB hot (-2.5 dB sub trim in AVR from -10.5 dB initially set by Audyssey cal). I have my AVR volume limit set at reference. I've never gone above 0dB. I very rarely listen over -12 dB main volume.
