(September 1, 2023) AV NIRVANA members and audio fans, it's time to mark your calendars! The Florida International Audio Expo recently announced dates for its fifth show, set to take place Friday through Sunday, February 16–18, 2024, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore Hotel. Both tickets and hotel reservations are now available, so if you want to guarantee an onsite room, now is the time to lock it down!

The show will have more than 12 floors of audio systems from the industry’s most coveted brands, spanning everything from electronics to loudspeakers and turntables to headphones. In addition, the halls will be crawling with industry influencers, icons, and product designers, making this an event that's sure to be memorable. The experience is capped by the facility, which was originally built to house condominiums. Now that it's been converted, each room enjoys the benefits of acoustic isolation, which conveys a feeling of comfort and luxury to attendees and exhibitors alike.

Bart Andeer, Managing Partner says: “We’re excited to be returning for our fifth year with almost all of our exhibit rooms already sold out. It’s a testament to the atmosphere we’ve created here that so many of our 2023 exhibitors are returning, and we’re also welcoming some established brands for the first time. Attendees will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of products on display, making it easier to find the best option for their music-reproduction needs. We welcome everyone to the Sunshine State to celebrate our passion for music—it’s the reason we created this show!”

Tickets are on sale now: Single-day admission, $25; admission for all three days, $35; free admission for students, children, and spouses. By booking a room at the Embassy Suites now, you'll guarantee yourself access to a free airport shuttle (the hotel is minutes from the airport), a complimentary breakfast, and happy hour! For more information, visit the show's website, here!

Looking forward to experiencing BACCH even more now.
At the moment I‘m planning on being at the Expo on Sunday when audio buddy can make it too.
Myself too, I intend to go to that room at some point. I've heard binaural via speakers demos before, used the MiniDSP 2x4HD binaural app a while back as well. The effect varied, because stereo isn't binaural. 99.999% of distributed music is stereo. I'm in agreement with Dr Lispshitz here. http://decoy.iki.fi/dsound/ambisonic/motherlode/source/Stereo microphone techniques_arethe purists wrong_Lispshitz_1986_pt1.pdf
Regardless, some are enamored and the BACCH system is SOTA.
See you Sunday.

cheers

This was easily my best of show pick. When I stopped in AJ had cued this up

The opening piano was amazing, as if it was in the room with us, and when the bass hit it was pant leg flapping palpable , but always remaining totally clear. It was just one of those audio experiences I’m not going to forget.

Oh yeah... I'm already big time jealous.

What are those speakers... looks like a horn-loaded ribbon-array.

Those are planar-magnetics Sonnie, go down to 400hz in that design, my Titans. Yes, horn loaded for controlled directivity and crossfire toed-in to widen the sweet spot a bit.
Next year ;-)
