(January 7, 2026) In a move that signals just how much the home audio landscape continues to evolve toward simplicity and accessibility, SVS has unveiled its first-ever soundbar – yes, soundbar – at CES 2026. Known for its deep roots in two-channel audio and traditional multi-channel home theater systems, SVS is now stepping into the hottest speaker category on the planet, while also refreshing one of its most popular subwoofer model lines.
SVS enters the soundbar arena
The headline grabber of SVS's early year activity is the debut of the R|Evolution Soundbar, the company’s first soundbar system and a clear response to the explosive growth of compact, all-in-one home theater solutions. Rather than treating its soundbar as a lifestyle accessory, SVS is positioning the system as a serious home theater product designed for media rooms, living rooms, and spaces where a traditional AVR-based setup simply isn’t practical.
The bar houses a dedicated three-way acoustic architecture for the left, center, and right channels. Inside the enclosure are nine drivers powered by 180 watts of amplification, a driver/amp package intended to deliver dynamics, intelligible dialogue, and a convincing front soundstage. Dolby Atmos decoding is supported across everything from stereo content to native mixes, and the system can be configured as a 3.1, 5.1, or 5.2 setup depending on how far users want to scale the system.
For rooms where adding rear or height speakers isn’t possible, Dolby Atmos virtualization is included to create a more enveloping presentation from the front of the room. SVS has also integrated Dolby Dialogue Enhancer for improved vocal clarity, along with an onboard Auto EQ room correction system that tailors performance to the listening space.
One of the most compelling aspects of the new soundbar is its approach to bass. Every system includes one wireless sub. Featuring an all-new 12" driver and a 600 watt continuous Class D MOSFET amplifier, it ships pre-paired for simple setup and – most importantly – is said to deliver the kind of deep, controlled bass that has long defined SVS's sound. For larger rooms or listeners who want a smoother in-room response, an optional dual subwoofer configuration will also be available.
Connectivity is comprehensive and very much in line with modern usage habits. The soundbar supports WiFi, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth, with Hi-Res music streaming up to 24/96. HDMI 2.1 ARC and eARC are on board, along with app-based control for system setup and tuning. And, as an added bonus, SVS is including an IR remote for those who prefer traditional control.
For users looking to push immersion further, SVS plans to offer the R|Evolution Soundbar Max package. This optional upgrade adds a pair of SVS R|Evolution Wireless Surround Speakers, each featuring a two-way design and 50 watts of bi-amped amplification. These surrounds will also arrive pre-paired and use a proprietary multiband wireless connection designed to maintain stable performance even in congested wireless environments.
So, how much will this cost? Unfortunately, that information hasn't been released yet. Shipping is targeted for late Q2 2026.
A long-awaited refresh, 3000 R|Evolution Series subwoofers
Alongside the soundbar debut, SVS has also unveiled the 3000 R|Evolution Series subwoofers, a refresh that many enthusiasts have eagerly awaited. Sitting at a popular performance and price point within the SVS lineup, the 3000 Series now benefits from technology and design concepts currently deployed in flagship 17 Ultra subs.
At launch, the 3000 R|Evolution Series includes two models. The SB 3000 is a sealed cabinet subwoofer designed for tight, articulate bass with extension down to 17 Hz (+/-3dB). The PB 3000 uses a ported enclosure to deliver greater output and room pressurization, extending down to 16 Hz within the same tolerance, while offering multiple port tuning modes for flexibility.
Both models share a common technology platform. A 13" driver anchors the design and is paired with a flat-edge wound split-wind voice coil that's said to maximize magnetic force under high excursion. Power comes from a 1,200 watt Class D amp capable of delivering over 4,000 watts peak. A 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP continuously manages power delivery, thermal behavior, and driver excursion, while a switch-mode power supply maintains consistent voltage under demanding conditions.
User control is handled through the SVS Subwoofer Control App, and Auto Room EQ functionality is slated to arrive via firmware update in Q1 2026. This feature will apply precision equalization filters tailored to the listener’s room, further simplifying setup and optimization.
Pricing for the 3000 R|Evolution Series will be announced closer to launch, which is expected to happen within weeks.
