(November 19, 2018) SVS is at it again, unleashing Black Friday savings that makes two wallet-friendly subwoofer models even more affordable. This year the company is serving up its ported PB12-NSD for $499 (regularly $800) and sealed SB12-NSD for $399 (regularly $680). That delivers up to $300 in savings on two very capable designs.

The sale, according to SVS, applies directly to new – factory sealed – products, not scratch and dent returns.

Both models feature a front-firing 12” NSD High-Output Driver married to an STA-400D amplifier. Rated to deliver 400 watts of continuous power (800 watts peak), the STA-400D is designed with Class D technology for efficient and cool operation. The driver features a 2” high-power voice coil, an aluminum cone and composite dust cap, and a rubber long-throw surround.

The sealed SB12-NSD is sized to be room-friendly (14.7” x 14.2” x 17.2” with feet and grille attached) and presents a back-friendly overall weight (35 lbs). Output-wise, its rated to dig down to 23Hz (+/- 3dB), which is quite impressive for a package this small. The PB12-NSD is slightly larger (21.4” x 17.3” x 25.4”) and weighs nearly twice as much (66 lbs). It makes good use of its front-mounted 4” port, pushing usable bass down to 18Hz.

Both models are only available in a black ash wood grain finish.

SVS says that supplies are limited and the sale ends when they’re gone. For more information, visit SVS on the web.

Thanks for the news. Good to see more sales.

Among other uses, these models seem perfect for those who want to upgrade their HTIB systems. No doubt they provide a substantial performance gain!

I heard the sealed model at a demo event. I believe the room was about 12' x 12'. That guy put out some nice bass. Didn't seem strained, that's for sure. For $399, this is a ridiculously good deal.
