Surround Sound Set up Suggestion!

My current set up:

Denon AVR-X4300
Emotiva LPA-1
Front L/R: Chane A5rx-c
Center: Change A2rx-c (might be changing to the larger center when it comes out)
Surround L/R: Cambridge Minx 21
Sub: Power Sound Audio PSA XV15 (non SE model)

So, I've been messing with the surround speakers a little bit trying to get more sound out of them, and they sound okay. They are small speakers, and I was wondering if I switch to the Emotiva BasX Sat speakers would give a better sound since it has a 4" woofer and tweeter compared to the Minx 21 dual 2.5" woofers?

Right now, these are $89 for the pair. So, I can get 2 pairs and go from a 5.1 to a 7.1 set up. Anyone has any experience with the Emotiva BasX?

No experience with the Emotiva speakers but that seems like a really good deal. For less than $200 for two pairs you can’t go wrong. Does Chane offer small bookshelf speakers you could employ for surround duties?

Chane doesn’t offer any small speakers at the moment.

I believe they’re releasing a new line soon. If it were me I’d probably wait and see if new bookshelves are released as well. It might cost more than the Emotiva’s but you’d be timbre matched with your surrounds.

Their new line up doesn’t have any small surround speakers either. I will be getting their larger center channel since the A2rx-c I’ve got isn’t the best for that purpose.

Have you checked the used market? Ideally you want to timbre match your surrounds.

That didn't work out too well last times I sold my 3rd HT set up to buy the Chane speaker and PSA sub lol.
