Studio monitors power transformer leak

do any of your speakers use a power transformer, if so is it normal for them To have like some sort of leak of some sort of oil or greese. Not sure if it’s normal

I don't, but I know that sometimes power transformers are soaked in a sort of laquer so as to bond the windings together to avoid that they start to vibrate and emit audible hum. If the laquer wasn't properly dried or heated, some of it may remain (semi-)fluid and seep out. Perhaps only after some time of use and the associated heating.

It's certainly not normal.

Tgg he e manufacturer said that they coat them with varnish. I’m not sure why they do that but that was the reply I got.
