Stephen King‘s "IT"

I read the book when I was younger and I was scared and I watched the made for TV mini series in 1990 and I was even more scared..

Movie opens September 8.

Are you guys going to see this?

I loved that book and, as you said, it scared me witless when I read it.
Can the movie hold up to the book, I guess only seeing it will tell.

I will tell you if/when it is released here in 10 months time.

Oh man, I am too scared to see it in a dark movie theater. Just telling you right now..

Nope! I'll pass on this one... and anything that resembles it... not a fan of jumpy horror.

Back in the day, I enjoyed it really. But now, I am old and too scared. lol.

LOVED the book and have probably read it 3-4 times.

The made-for-TV mini-series was a BIG disappointment for me.

Here's hoping this movie actually does the book justice...BUT, looking back at the track record of "Stephen King books made into *quality* movies", I'm not keeping my hopes up too high.

Of all of Stephen King book adaptations to film, "The Shining" , "Carrie", "Misery", and "Cujo" were for me the best book to film adaption.

I'd agree with you there, but I have to add The Mist. Although not as critically acclaimed, it is my personal favorite.

The Langoliers...now that was just horrible!

"It looks like the Mueller Alamo Drafthouse in Austin is aiming to ratchet up the ever-living nightmare, plotting a clowns-only screening of the new Stephen King adaptation, according to Consequence Of Sound. The theater will host the expectedly horrifying, one-night-only event on Saturday, Sept. 9. There's only one catch to attend the screening: you have to dress as a clown.

"For this special clown screening of It, all attendees should arrive dressed as a clown in order to attend," reads the Alamo Drafthouse website. "Please arrive in your own Pennywise best and be ready to float with us.""

I am not sure if I want to watch the movie surrounded by clowns! lol.

I saw It last night and thought it was really good. It is really It Chapter one. The next one is when they are already adults.

Looks like the movie was the number 1 movie this past weekend. Lots of folks saw it..
