(September 15, 2021) The folks at Starke Sound have a knack for launching designs that capture the imagination, and today's announced speaker series is no different. With its all-new P Series, the high-end audio experts at Starke have taken the traditional Pro Audio look and given it an aggressive refresh for private cinema duty.

From the smallest member of the P Series (the P3 All-Around Loudspeaker) to the top-of-the-line P7 Main Loudspeaker, Starke’s flair for design is on full display. Keeping a utilitarian Pro feel intact, the P Series is loaded with classy appointments. From artfully textured surfaces and industrial-looking drivers to precisely cut connection plates complete with hex thumb screws, there are lots for the eye to take in.

Starke says the P Series marries the high sensitivity and power handling of professional-grade equipment with the refined realism of home audio, possessing the output muscle needed to ignite rooms as-large-as 5,000 square feet. Using a horn-loaded Air Motion Transformer (AMTHorn) tweeter developed over the last two years, the P Series can issue high sound-pressure levels as frequencies extend well beyond human hearing to 40kHz. Add to that custom dynamic drivers with native performance down to 40Hz, and all four models in the series are primed for serious theater performance.

The large-room P7 Main Loudspeaker ($9,500 each) is a three-way speaker complete with an AMTHorn tweeter, a 6.5-inch midrange driver, and 12-inch coated cone woofer, while the step-down P5 Main Loudspeaker ($6,500 each) is a two-way design consisting of an AMTHorn tweeter and 12-inch woofer. The air motion tweeter on both models can handle up to 80 watts RMS and carries a vibration-damping swivel system that can tailor its wide dispersion pattern.

The P3 All-Around Speaker ($2,500 each) is a smaller design that carries an AMTHorn and an 8-inch midrange driver. Despite slightly toned-down power handling capabilities (50 watts RMS for the tweeter, 500 watts RMS for the driver), Starke says the P3 can be used as a main or surround speaker in rooms with projection distances up to 32 feet. A P3i version of the speaker is surface mountable for in-wall or in-ceiling applications.

All four new P Series models carry locking, industrial-grade speaker connections. Those include a single speakON connection Starke’s own S-Link. S-Link connection and terminator are included with each P Series model.

The P7 Main Loudspeaker and P3/P3i All-Around Loudspeaker will begin shipping in October, while the P5 Main Loudspeaker is available now. For more information, visit www.starkesound.com.
