i'd like to BEG for your patience while i describe my scenario:
I AN NOT A MUSICIAN, neither professional nor amateur.
i am a happily retired [82 years "young"] high voltage power supplies electronic designer.
in the past, i used spectrum analyzers for UL & TUV certification of EMI [conducted & radiated] compliance of my designs. i am a HARDWARE guy.
MY NEED:
i don't want to optimize setting of my speakers in my room. my application is DIFFERENT:
bcz of age, i need to wear hearing aids, which need be "tuned up" by technician. previous attempts using her s/w were useless.
have TWO mp3 to play, each one strong in low and high frequencies respectively [a double bassoon and a piccolo concerts]; and need a PC spectrum analyzer screen displaying the corresponding freq. density so the technician can see it, while i hear wearing the aids.
i stop the play, she makes the tuneup, and i play it AGAIN, reporting if tuneup was ok.
is a SINGLE SHOT, ONCE experiment!!!
before installing your s/w, i have the following questions:
a) will it play a mp3?
b) if affirmative, will it display freq. spectrum while mp3 playing?
