Using the NAD M33 my only option without getting an audio interface is to connect via Bluetooth to measure with REW. My laptop seems to work fine and I can see any adjustments I make to the sub, but when I connect to my new desktop, the sub is not measured. UMIK-1 is connected via USB on both.

REW Preferences are the same on both computers as seen below... identical on both machines. The BT is set the same on both... M33 configuration is the same on both. The only thing I can conclude is the USB on the desktop is causing the issue, but not sure. Curious if I may be missing something.

Changed out the UMIK-1 to a newer unit with that cal file on both computers and now the sub is measuring, but still getting two different measurements. I've double check settings in REW.

I'm fairly confident it is something with the desktop. Below is a comparison between my two laptops, pretty much confirming they are on the same page.

Solved... ran a bios and driver update on the new desktop and it resolved the issue. I hate it when things like this drive me crazy. I'm too impatient.

Always something like that. I am also driven crazy not knowing what the problem is for days on end, thinking I need to spend more money on new gear, when it's something so mundane and fundamental.

Yeah... I ordered this Dell desktop from Amazon because it was beefier and cheaper than ordering from Dell. I thought I was going to have to return it because something was wrong with it, and then end up buying the more expensive one from Dell to make sure I got a good one.

@Sonnie: Just a few notes. Looking at your config -

* Have you considered using WASAPI exclusive?

* Do you actually need the ASIO/FlexASIO? You have two separate devices which for merging in ASIO is not good (splitting to two devices is a hack implemented by the ASIO bridges, but ASIO was not designed for that). You may hit buffer issues. You might want to try the java EXCL which will circumvent your ASIO -> FlexASIO -> WASAPI bridge and talk over WASAPI directly and independently, no buffer issues.

If still using UMIK-1 - that device is directly clocked from your USB host (USB isochronous synchronous mode). Technically it can happen that measurements between devices may differ as their USB clocks may differ in quality/exact frequency.

I'll try Java and see how that works, although it all seems to be working fine now. I remember I had better luck with ASIO, but I can try Java again.

The difference ended up being a BIOS and audio driver update for the new computer... then it aligned with the other computers.
