Hi all - sharing my wonderful experience with Seaton Sound's MFW-15 Turbo-SS...!
I have 3.0 setup from Chane (L/R A5rx-c and Center A2.4) with Seaton Sound MFW- 15 Turbo-SS all driven by a Denon AVR-X4000 in 12'x16'x8' sealed room. Use is mainly 75 movies/TV and 25% music.
After reading theJman's review at HTS, I gave the MFW-15 Turbo-SS a shot and was not disappointed! At approx 120 lbs, it a heavy but beautiful beast. This sub doesn't seem phased by anything and took everything I threw at it, literally shaking the walls in my carpeted basement. It also comes with EQ which seems to control the way the amp applies the boost to the signal. I keep it at middle as it suits my taste just fine and am quite confident that it can perform well in much larger rooms.
Highly recommended! One of Mark Seaton's best kept secrets.
Cheers,
YC
PS: I didn't talk too much about the Chanes which I don't believe need much introductions in this forum. They are an absolute delight. I read on Jon Lane's forum that some new models are coming soon, namely the Chane L7/L6 as well as an update to A5's with the 0.4 tweeter/wave guide and improved crossover.
