Saving FR measurements

I'm interested in taking semi-anechoic FR measurements of individual drivers with REW for use with a XO design program. All design programs require FR files to have the .frd suffix. All the measurements I've taken with REW end in the .mdat format. How do you save a file in the .frd format.
This will probably expose my total ignorance of file manipulation.

Export the measurements as text files, the format is compatible with FRD.
