Save all not working on V5.30? Intel Mac vs Apple silicon?

I can save individual files, but save all doesn't seem to work ? Not the end of the world, as scans can be saved one by one, but the save all function doesn't seem to work.
It does work on a separate computer - the significant difference between the two is that the one where it doesn't work is an Intel Mac, whereas the one where it does work is Apple Silicon
I've tried an uninstall and reinstall 5.30 (which is the version on the Apple Silicon Mac) - no luck.
Still investigating...
I'll confess that I do not envy anyone keeping Mac versions updated as Apple deprecates bits of code every so often. But Windows has become more Mac-like as Macs have become more Windows-like...

In the View preferences there's an option to "Use macOS file dialogs", can try changing that to see if it helps.
