Wow, @JBrax, that game last night was crazy! Two amazing offenses... not much defense... but what a slug fest!

I'd imagine that the Bills are kicking themselves over the decisions they made at the end of the 4th quarter. I was thinking squib kick on the kickoff... that could have potentially knocked a few seconds off the clock. But those two prevent defensive sets were straight up weird. The coverage was non-existent... and they rushed 4 on the last play of the game. Hats off to KC for taking advantage of it with such ease. PM made it look way too easy. IMO, he's still the best QB in the AFC (tho, you could make an argument that Josh Allen is right on his heels).

I'm super curious to see how Cinci prepares to enter Arrowhead. At the moment, it's not looking good for them!

Would love to see a Chiefs, Rams SB. That would be BRUTAL!

It was a roller coaster of emotions there at the end! I think we’ll be seeing KC vs LA in what would be a monster matchup. Gotta handle the Bengals at home first.

Wow! I knew Super Bowl tickets were expensive, but I had no idea they were that expensive. Do you know if those are face value ticket prices or are they scalper prices?

The reason I ask is I've been in a Colorado Rockies season ticket group since 1999 and our seats are behind home plate in row 14. In 2007 when the Rockies were in game 3 of the World Series against the Red Sox, I was talking with the couple in the seats next to us. They paid the season ticket holder $3000 for their 2 seats. Our 2 seats were "only" $500 (i.e., season ticket holder price). I know prices have gone up since then and the baseball/football ticket comparison may not apply (4-7 WS games vs 1 SB), but $6000+ for nose bleed seats is extreme IMO.

Wow. $39k to sit near the 40!!!

My biggest complaint about the NFL is that the Super Bowl isn’t a home game for one of the teams. This year, obviously, it’s a pseudo-home game for the Rams, but how awesome would it be for the home team be to host and for season ticket holders to have the opportunity to attend?

just imagine if the Green Bay Packers made it and had home field advantage… that game would be insanely fun to watch… and with a home crowd behind them!

It works for every other sport… NFL should do it

True, but the strange thing is that most of the time, the road team has won especially in this playoff series.. So, home field advantages didn't actually help.

lol.

Well, I guess it is all relative.

Folks here on home theater will spend thousands without thinking and someone outside will say, that is crazy money to spend on speakers, tv, audio equipment etc. lol. :)

Speaking of crazy money, saw this in the news about a huge bet on the Bengals.

From SI
"Mattress Mack, the alias of Houston furniture salesman Jim McIngvale, is rocking with Joe Burrow and the Bengals in the Super Bowl.
Just how confident is McIngvale in the underdog Bengals?
He placed a $4.5 million bet on them to upset the Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13 in Los Angeles."

Agreed, it is all relative. I've already spent more on audio equipment than I ever thought I would and my wife thinks I'm nuts but goes along with it.

Good very close game. In the end, Rams won over Bengals 23 to 20.

Game went to the wire...

I’ll bet Mattress Mack had a bad day. Have to be something less than 4.5 million though.

from thespun,

"An estimated 101.1 million viewers watched Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. Which is up quite a bit from last year’s number of 92 million, the lowest since 2006. "

I’ll bet Mattress Mack had a bad day. Have to be something less than 4.5 million though.
He did 20 million in sales due to his Super Bowl promotion, but lost 9.5 million in his bets. If he would have won the bets he would have made 16.2 million, but would have had to refund the customers' purchases that were part of the promotion.

From Forbes:
"Mattress Mack may have lost $9.5 million betting on the Cincinnati Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI, but he’ll sleep well tonight. That’s because Mack, whose real name is Jim McIngvale, sold $20 million worth of furniture thanks to a Super Bowl promotion he hedged with his wager on the Bengals."

"If they lose, I lose the money on the bet, but I have the customer’s money, so it’s a wash,” he says. “The best scenario is for the team to win, the customers get their money back, and I get my initial investment on the bet back. That's the way I've structured it: it has to be a win for the customers to be win for me.”

Thanks Michael. Not what I thought it was at all.
