REW (Room EQ Wizard) + EqualizerAPO vs. miniDSP 10x10HD?

Can the same EQ/PEQ be applied in Windows, before outputting the audio through HDMI (Nvidia) in an HTPC, by using EqualizerAPO, as when having a miniDSP 10x10HD in the chain?

I'm not sure the miniDSP's additional ADC-DAC conversion is something I want, I have an Evolve II (ESS SabrePro DAC) connected straight to my Emotiva A-5175 power amplifier, I'm not sure I wanted additional DAC's in the chain.

Perhaps EqualizerAPO could be used for my speakers (bed layer) and just hook up a miniDSP 2x4HD for the LFE channel only, coming from the Evolve II?

Or perhaps REW can be used in Windows to EQ/PEQ bed layer channels, and letting a miniDSP 2x4HD handle the LFE?
