Audison bitTen DSP, in car electronics
Hello,

I have a MiniDSP UMIK-1 microphone and working with REW perfectly.
Now I would like to setup my in-car DSP which is an Audison bitTen.
I would like to ask that which one is the most suitable/closest equalizer type setting in the EQ menu of REW, or should I use the "Generic" setting?

Thank you for your help in advance!

P.S.: If you need I may send you a datasheet/pictures about the possible bitTen EQ settings.

Does it have parametric EQ? The data sheet mentions a 31-band graphic EQ. For a graphic EQ you are best adjusting it 'live' while playing REW's Pink PN test signal through the channel you are equalising and looking at the response on the RTA window. Set up the RTA in 1/48 octave mode, with Rectangular window and no averaging.

Dear John,

Thank you for your feedback! Great help!
One more thing: is it generally preferred to measure only one channel (left or right) at once with RTA than do it in stereo?
(I've checked and the bit Ten is capable to separate the EQs by channel.)

Thank you for your response in advance!

Dear John,

I've checked the new REW version (V5.20 beta15) and there are 2 types of Pink Noises selectable in the Generator. (Random & Periodic)

Which one do you recommend to use with RTA and tune a car audio?

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Gabor (HUN)

Periodic, it will be much more stable at low frequencies without needing averaging. Random pink noise only has a pink spectrum after a sufficiently long period of averaging. The RTA settings are suitable for 64k length periodic pink noise:

Dear John,

I would need your help!

Is there a feature or option in R.E.W. which could indicate my configured House Curve in the RTA window during the measurement?

Would be very useful to live set the EQ parameters to this target response.

I'm waiting for your kind feedback.

Thank you in advance!

Best Regards,
Gabor from Hungary

The RTA can show the currently selected measurement as a reference. Make a text file of the target response and import it as a measurement. There is a similar thread here with more discussion of that.
