REW download windows 32 bit java 8

Hello
I am going to download the latest update.
I have Java 7, do I need to uninstall Java 7 before installing REW?
Also uninstall old REW?
Currently have 5.15 beta 7
The laptop is old and not powerful, although not much on it. It doesn't have 1GB Ram.

You don't need to for REW, but from a security perspective it is recommended to uninstall any Java runtimes you do not use.

If the laptop ran okay for 5.15 will it be ok on the 5.20?

Probably, but the old versions are still available for download.

Tried to download update but only saves icon (0 bytes) not the program itself.
Any ideas what is happening.
