REW can't find any of my files

I've just purchased an additional Mac to be an exact replica of my older one. I used the "Migration Assistant" to transfer all of the data. Everything works as it should except REW. When I try to open an REW file ("REW Measurements" on my Desktop), I first go to the first screenshot shown below and then when I select "Desktop", it shows nothing in it (2nd Screen Shot) - and it most certainly is not empty. I've completely un-installed it multiple times (via the un-installer) and re-installed but to no avail. Other apps (like Excel) have no similar issues so I have no clue how to proceed.

Any ideas??

In the Mac's privacy settings give REW the required access to files on the desktop.
