I have been using REW for a while now.
1. I wanted to ask what method REW uses to find the frequency response with a logarithmic chirp input. I am familiar with the Volterra series and methods such as the Farina method, but I wanted to know exactly which idea REW implements? Would you please introduce the articles that presented the main idea? In fact, my goal is to implement the method myself in a software like MATLAB and see how reliable the output of REW is.
2. What is the relationship between the “frequency response” and what we see in the “Distortion” tab? Is the “frequency response” obtained by dividing the output Fourier transform by the input Fourier transform? and is the “frequency response” the sum of the frequency responses of the harmonics? Which one is used for equalization (EQ): “frequency response” or frequency response of individual harmonics?
