(May 15, 2025) Big news for hi-fi enthusiasts who value seamless playback and uncompromising sound quality: Qobuz Connect is now supported on all HEOS Built-in devices from Denon and Marantz. The announcement brings another high-resolution streaming option to the table—one that integrates directly with the Qobuz app and prioritizes bit-perfect audio without the fuss of third-party workarounds.
Qobuz is a French-based streaming and download service that's built its reputation around offering high-resolution music in formats up to 24-bit / 192 kHz, and remains the only platform that provides both lossless streaming and downloadable tracks in that resolution. With Qobuz Connect, users can now initiate playback on their HEOS-compatible devices directly from the Qobuz mobile app—no switching apps, no juggling remotes. Just pick your album, select your system, and press play.
What makes this even more appealing is that Denon and Marantz users already have access to a suite of premium services—TIDAL and Deezer are also supported—and a growing number of HEOS devices have recently received Roon Ready certification, with more in the pipeline. So if you're building out a serious digital front end for your system, HEOS continues to evolve as a robust platform that supports a wide range of listening preferences.
Functionally, this means that Denon and Marantz users can now access Qobuz's vast, curated catalog of high-res music with zero compromises. Whether you’re in the mood for jazz, electronic, orchestral, or indie rock, your favorite recordings are just a tap away—streamed in native resolution and played back with the kind of clarity that lesser services often can’t deliver.
And this isn’t just for flagship models. HEOS Built-in compatibility spans a wide range of Denon and Marantz gear, from wireless speakers and compact integrated amps to AVRs and premium network players. The list of Roon Ready models now includes notable units like the Denon DNP-2000NE, the Home series speakers and amps, and several recent AVRs like the X3800H and S670H. On the Marantz side, products like the SACD 30n, CD 50n, and the increasingly popular Model 40n are also on the list—plus, of course, their newer flagship units like the AV10 and the Stereo 70s.
The Qobuz Connect feature is live globally as of today. It’s a free update, so all you need to do is update your device’s firmware and make sure your device's Qobuz app is current. From there, just open the app, tap the Connect icon, and select your HEOS-enabled device.
