Try setting the microphone to 48 kHz in the Windows audio properties (instead of 96 kHz) and check there are no other mic connectors, some PCs have separate front panel and back panel connections with separate devices to select.

You could do, but it is odd not to get data from the onboard audio inputs. There is a separate microphone access button for desktop apps further down in the Settings list, make sure that is on.

i checked every thing and also the down's button in the setting. yesterday I was able to obtain values for 10min then suddenly nothing, it disapeared. more the values looks like wrong ( calibration too) i think i'm going to get an external sound card and try on my laptop.

Dear John Mulcahy. I downloaded the software REW V5.0 RC9-64 Bit and run on desktop. All programmes are working fine. But at end VOICE COIL DC RESISTANCE AND ADDED MASS not working automatically. That's why calculate parameters not working properly. Does voice coil dc resistance and added mass etc are filled up manually? or i doing something wrong?. Thanks

Yes, you have to enter the values for the added mass and the voice coil DC resistance, though the coil resistance does not need to be very precise as long as it is not too high.

The mass figure is obtained by getting an accurate measurement of the mass that was stuck to the cone to make the measurement. You can find some examples of a procedure for dual added mass measurements here, single added mass is very similar.
