What do you all think? I gotta say, I lean Gilmour.

I like both of their works after PF, but I like Gilmour's a little better. It's still close. Both have great albums and concert recordings. I definitely like the PF years with Gilmour better.

Gotta agree - Gilmour. Waters at his best has done stellar work, but Gilmour is a bit more consistent IMHO.

There's no question in my part of town. I find Gilmore's work more enjoyable, by far.
But Waters' DVD In The Flesh - Live does find itself spinning in the player at least once a month.

The band's lead guitarist, Doyle Bramhall II, turned me off at first. I guess I was biased toward ol' David, go figure! Now I admire his chops. He also appears onstage in several of the Eric Clapton Crossroads videos.

Really? I was super impressed with him. I mean he's no comparison to David, but still... he's extremely good.

I was disenchanted with Doyle, but just for a while. My bias wore off the same way it did for Captain Picard, when I felt he couldn't possibly fill Captain Kirk's shoes. I'm not saying Doyle could ever fill David's shoes, or that he should try. He's got a style of his own, just like every other great guitarist. Agree he's extremely good!
