My audio interface is a MOTU M4 and I'm running Windows 11.
Earlier today, I updated the M4 driver, M4 firmware and REW (from 5.40 Beta 116 to 117)
Now, basic loopback looks weird when I engage the generator.

I initially thought is was the new M4 firmware, so fired up ARTA to see if it behaved the same - I think it should if the new M4 firmware or software is at fault.
It did not - see image 2-ARTA, so I suspect REW. BTW, the ARTA image is close to what I normally see when REW is running correctly.
I ran the REW o'scope to see if I noticed anything about the generator output and saw the distortion shown - see image 5-scope_generator_on REW.
I included a couple of shots of MOTU M4 output: 3-loopback_generator-off REW shows output when generator is off; 4-loopback_generator_on-12dBFS REW shows output when generator is activated to put out -12dBFS sine at 997Hz.
I'll try going back to previous Beta but wanted to flag this in case it's a real issue (instead of the most likely scenario of me having done something boneheaded
)
Never saw this behavior with other REW versions, but that doesn't mean I didn't mess something up.
Pictures included:
1-REW version
2-ARTA loopback
3-loopback_generator-off REW
4-loopback_generator_on-12dBFS REW
5-scope_generator_on REW
Any ideas on what I might have done to screw things up?
