We still have the laserdisc version of this that we use to watch all the time.

Should be interesting to see how much better it is visually and sonically.

I am curious if the Amazon Prime viewing will be just as good as the physical media.

I've never seen this, but am curious! The Blu-ray will likely have better audio than the disc (at least, one would assume). I've looked around a bit and can't find any specs on the disc. Have seen what format the encode is?

I believe on laserdisc it was AC3, but I'm not sure what that equates to in today's sound formats. I suppose they can remix to any format they like, although it obviously won't be true to the original mix.

From one site: The concert film was restored and re-edited from the original 35mm film and enhanced with 5.1 surround sound and this is available as standalone Blu-ray and DVD packages.

I'd imagine the disc is more likely to lossless. Could you hear a difference, tho? Dunno
