Good evening,

I'm currently working with a contact who is helping me through the REW / MiniDSP setup process. Today while evaluating my setup he noticed that my version of REW notes "Peak input before clipping 96 dB SPL" in the lower info bar. He found this odd given that I'm using a UMIK-1 that should allow for higher peaks. Of note is that I'm using REW v5.20 Beta 53 on Mac OS.

Is it possible that I have a setting incorrect that is leading to the stated message? TIA!

If you have the UMIK input volume set to full it will apply 24 dB of gain to the digital data, reducing the peak before clipping by the same amount. Best to set the input volume to the 0 dB position.

John,

Thanks for the quick reply. To confirm are you referring to the Input Volume setting on the Preferences > Soundcard tab? The value is currently set to 1.000 but the control is locked out to change.
