I had DirecTV from 1997 until 2010. Went OTA/TiVo and Hulu only until DTV Now launched.

My biggest "no go" is losing access to regional sports networks. I couldn't hack it without the Balt/Wash area Comcast Sports Net, MASN and MASN2. I'm hoping a solution comes about at some point... cable costs forever seem to be on a ladder climbing higher.

That was a big one for me, too, at first. But since the Big 12 now has all conference games on an ESPN network, DTVNOW is working well. Even before then, though, I took the money I saved and bought season tickets for Iowa State football and basketball, and I would just go to a sports bar to watch games I didn't have access to.

It's not been easy, but when you love your team, you support them. It's also a fantastic excuse for day drinking.

As a fan of teams that just never quite seem to get it done, I totally understand this statement! ;-)
