Anyone here have the 103D player with Darbee and if so are you having any issues engaging Darbee? I had sent my player out to Oppo awhile back when they were in business because the player would not load the disc and got it fixed however, I recently tried to turn on Darbee and use the ON/OFF/Split/Slide Darbee options and nothing happens it remains OFF regardless.
I reached out to Oppo via email yesterday to see what it could be or maybe they did something to it accidently while servicing the unit idk.
I also do not know if Oppo is still handling any customer care that's why I posted here for ideas.

Me darbee has its own power cord IIRC. I’ll check it for you when I’m home. I think it has a power light on it that’s lit when plugged in but really can’t remember.

Thanks but my Oppo player has the Darbee built in/internal vs external. I may have to open the unit and see what is inside. Maybe something disconnected is my guess.

Do you guys think a factory reset on the Oppo will fix the Darbee issue or most likely a waster of time?

You even had 103”D” in the thread title. Doh! Sorry.

If I do a factory reset will I lose all current firmware updates and not be able to redownload them since Oppo is not in business?

Oppo site is still up and running. Here’s the link to the 103D support page including firmware link: https://www.oppodigital.com/support/blu-ray-bdp-103/blu-ray-BDP-103-Support.aspx?prodID=BDP103D

I know you can install firmware via USB. Maybe you can back it up to US! as well prior to the reset if the firmware on the site is not valid. Good luck!

Bah! Leave the Darby off and call it good. I hate things that alter the director's intent.

And I agree but considering I paid for it would be nice for it to work.

Hi Asere! Still interested in a fix? From Oppo? You’re in luck! They’re Customer Service operation is alive and well at this site.

You can find some of my comments about a recent repair they aced in this post.
