no microphone signal

Hi,
First post here. I'm getting up to speed with Audiolense. I have made some measurements and corrections in the past without too much trouble - once I got output and input working from my laptop.
I've recently come back to Audiolense and for some reason it refuses to register any microphone signal. I'm using a Umik-1 with calibration file. It is set up as the default device and it registers ok with windows bar indicator and works fine on REW.
Any clues what I'm doing wrong please?

I've found the solution with the help of Grok and Chatgpt. Both directed me through the various settings of W!! and also the legacy settings via the control panel (which was much better imho). But nothing helped.

In the end I was instructed to uninstall the UMIK (right click umik in Device manager, sound video and game drivers), unplug the UMIK, restart the computer, wait 30s, plug the mic back in, wait 60s and then see if it had been reinstalled - it had. After that it worked fine.

Interestingly I suspect the problem was the box in the microphone set up saying "Allow apps and Windows to use this device for audio". It works set to Don't allow. I think I may have set this to Allow - which led to all the problems. Odd.
