We’ve recently closed on a new home (moving from the one I asked about here), and are planning to basically transplant our current immersive 7.1.4-channel system into the new home, but with 3 key changes. The material one here is a change from in-ceiling speakers (at Auro-ish placement – over FL/FR and RL/RR) to on-wall heights. The important use cases of the system are (a) native Atmos music and (b) Auromatic mixed 2-channel music. TV and movies are also watched in the room, but of no concern whatsoever.
Room is 13’ wide by 16.5” deep and 9’ tall. RSP is about 11’ from the front wall. Bed layer will be placed at RSP seated ear height and the standard angles (L/R 30 deg arc from C, LS/RS about 95-100 deg, LR/RR at about 135 deg). Height speakers will be JBL LSR705i (on Triad Orbit mounts that allow aiming to the RSP. Polar maps (courtesy of Sound und Recording, 8-19) below.
My questions are:
Side-to-side placement: I’ve read or seen discussions of keeping the heights narrower than the LR (maybe Grimani, or Poes?). Thoughts, vs. directly above FL/FR? And if narrower, how much so? In line with the RR/RL? Note that placement on the front wall -- as opposed to on ceiling closer to the RSP -- is non-negotiable.
Placement of rear heights:

Placement of rear heights:
- Wider than RL/RR?
- Over RL/RR (i.e. narrower than FL/FR)?
- Over SL/SR (I like SL/SR slightly behind the RSP, say 95ish deg.)?
- On side rather than back wall but behind SL/SR? (Aesthetically this is preferable to on back wall, because they would not be in the direct line of sight from other rooms in the house. And JBL LSR705i's, while fantastic performers, are not pretty!)
- NOTE: there is not going to be much height gap between the sides/rears and heights, because sides/rears are CBT line arrays designed to provide vertical coverage from 3 to 6 feet off the floor to accommodate seated and standing listening.
