I LOVE my current Def Tech bookshelf speakers (SM65s) so I would expect that these sound equally awesome if not better. As with their previous bookshelf speakers, these feature a passive bass radiator to help extend the low end. The offset tweeter kind of weirds me out but they claim that "Offsetting the tweeter by 5° delivers a more precise center stereo image by eliminating undesirable symmetric diffraction off the corners of the front baffle. The older model is still for sale at a big discount by the way

I miss my old BP towers I had years ago. Will have to give DT another listen to see what their new models can do.

Def Tech had an excellent demo room set-up at CEDIA with these new bookshelf speakers. They look and perform beautifully! These are a nice upgrade from the previous Studio Monitor series.
