I LOVE my current Def Tech bookshelf speakers (SM65s) so I would expect that these sound equally awesome if not better. As with their previous bookshelf speakers, these feature a passive bass radiator to help extend the low end. The offset tweeter kind of weirds me out but they claim that "Offsetting the tweeter by 5° delivers a more precise center stereo image by eliminating undesirable symmetric diffraction off the corners of the front baffle. "
