from variety,
"The Ultra plans cost $16.99 per month and is being tested in two versions. One offers four Ultra HD streams, while the existing $13.99 Premium plan would drop from four to two UHD streams. In the second offer, both Premium and Ultra customers would have access to four concurrent Ultra HD streams but only Ultra customers would have access to high dynamic range (HDR) content, which provides more vibrant color reproduction and higher contrast."

Are you folks ready to pay this amount?

Yeah, I agree as well. I am happy with my 1080p. :)

With the increasing quality of video and audio and the Netflix produced movies. Its really not a big deal with the price increase. To be honest some of us spend hundreds on cable/dish a month and probably don't even watch that much. So paying $17 for netflix and watching a lot of it really isn't so bad in perspective. I mean HBO really only offers the show of the season Fall/Winter/Summer/Spring and people pay $20 a month.

Now, everybody and then some is going into the streaming option, It is the future and now as they say. lol.

If netflix can make the audio and video great for Ultra then maybe it will be worth it.

Price don't seem bad but I am still loving my Samsung F8500 plasma tv. Had it not been for this tv I would have upgraded to a 4K tv but if I am going to get a 4K tv it needs to be much better then my plasma and that means I would need to pay a good amount of money since most entry level 4K TV's aren't as good with black levels even with HDR.

I think if anything they would be smart to lower their price...since it looks like they are going to lose a ton of their content very soon. I say this because I just read that AT&T, Disney, and others are not renewing their contracts for their programs (They are trying to bury Netflix).

All the studios are trying to do there own streaming thing. They are going to find out people aren’t gonna pay for all those individual sites. They are greedy. Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV etc. is what people want. This will disrupt things temporarily but likely go back too how it is now.

Yes, streaming is all about money and they will learn just like cable that once you price folks out of the market, they will no longer be a customer.

Streaming may be the future but I still like getting a disc in the mail. I still have a 1080p and find streaming to have an inferior picture. Why would 4k streaming be any different?

I agree 100% with you Mark. :)
