Hello

I am building a 14 x 16 music room in my basement and am looking for a 2 channel stereo amplifier in the range of $3k- $3500 to go with my new Klipsch Cornwallls 4

If it matters I have also a sub SVS PB16 Ultra

I really appreciate any recommendations If any more details are needed please let me know

Thanks in advance.

forgot to mention I'm in Canada

I highly recommend listening PrimaLuna tube amplifiers EVO 200, EVO 300 (all tube, not hybrid).
I use PrimaLuna EVO 400 with DIY Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15 speakers (sensitivity: 95-96 dB/2.8V/1 meter, 15" bass driver) - is better than Denon PMA-2500NE, Arcam PA240.

Benchmark AHB2

You will not regret it!

Have a look at the Marantz Model 30. - If you like smooth detailed airy soundstage goodness with amazing bass tightness and control. It's a preamp and amp acting like separates in one box. Built like a tank, super powerful with a high quality phono preamp covering both MM and MC carts. Simple design, elegant, sophisticated sound. Also has a preout funtionality that can be used for a sub.I have two of them! :) (I am also in Canada and paid $3,300. But there was a $500 price increase recently - Bay and Bloor Radio in Toronto).

Another +1 for the Benchmark AHB2. Unless you're going for a particular flavor or color of sound, I'm not aware of anything better at that price point.

Although way below your budget I can highly recommend the Croft Series 7 stereo amplifier. I haven't heard vocals sound so life-like :T

thanks guys, I brought the Rotel RA-1592 MKII
