We've reviewed both sides of the STIX family this year, including the original male STIX generator and analyzer and the newer female STIX variant, and both passed with flying colors in our HDMI Test Bench. Murideo built those devices to provide 48 Gbps verification, format validation, EDID control, and fast pass fail testing in a pocket-sized form factor. The new controller is meant to take that same feature set and scale it across entire systems and multi-rack installations.
The MU STIX CTL connects to 48 STIX A and STIX G devices via USB A, supplying both power and communication. Once everything is linked, technicians can monitor real-time video thumbnails and HDMI signal data through a streamlined web interface. That approach allows a single operator to watch dozens of test points at once instead of checking each device manually. For larger environments, the controller includes RJ45 daisy-chain expansion, supporting up to 20 controllers and 960 STIX units in total. For hardware manufacturers and labs running continuous validation cycles, it creates an efficient way to evaluate multiple HDMI devices at the same moment.
The STIX ecosystem itself remains a flexible platform for generators and analyzers that can validate everything from 720p to 8K, making it relevant to residential work as well as hospitality, enterprise, education, and digital signage markets, in addition to hardcore enthusiasts. With the controller added to the line, STIX shifts from a single device toolkit to a full-scale testing environment designed for integrators and manufacturers who need throughput and repeatability.
