(January 27, 2026) Luxury seating rarely gets treated like serious AV gear, but Moovia keeps pushing it in that direction. At Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, the German-built brand is rolling out a trio of updates that signal a broader shift in how premium media seating is being positioned: a new smart control app, expanded Kvadrat textile options, and new longchair models designed to blend furniture craftsmanship with integrated technology. Yes, Moovia is evolving, better positioning its products to interact with modern smart environments and to visually integrate into design-forward spaces. And even if Moovia's weighty price tags are too much for your wallet to lift, it's worth paying attention to the moves the company is making, as others will eventually follow.

Scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026 on iOS and Android, the Moovia Smart app centralizes control of Moovia’s powered seating features. Instead of treating motorized motion as a simple recline function, Moovia has built an ecosystem around coordinated control of chair movement, ambient lighting, massage functions, and integrated heating elements.

From an integration standpoint, the app is part of a broader platform approach. Moovia says its latest generation of seating ships with smart integration as a standard feature across its portfolio. Compatibility with Control4, Crestron, RTI, and Savant allows each model to become part of larger automation scenes, whether that’s synchronizing recline positions with lighting presets or tying seating behavior into home cinema startup routines.

ISE attendees will also see several new physical products, too. One of the headline pieces is the Marbella Longchair, a new extended format version of the existing Marbella line. The new model introduces an updated wood finish and adds a pull-out storage drawer, targeting users who want lounge-style seating with integrated utility for blankets, accessories, or personal items.

Moovia is also using ISE to showcase its Milano sofa upholstered in newly introduced Kvadrat fabrics. Kvadrat is well known in architectural and contract design circles for technical textile performance and refined material aesthetics. By bringing these fabrics into its seating lineup, Moovia is clearly leaning into interior design compatibility, positioning its furniture as part of the room’s visual language rather than something that simply supports the experiential side of an AV system.

Manufacturing remains central to the brand story. Every Moovia piece continues to be produced in Germany, with an emphasis on precision tolerances, material consistency, and long-term durability. While the brand highlights its German manufacturing roots, the design approach is intentionally international, aimed at fitting into modern residential and commercial environments without locking itself into a single regional aesthetic.

Moovia will be exhibiting at Integrated Systems Europe 2026 from February 3 through 6 in Barcelona at stand 2E300. Attendees will be able to see the new Smart app in action, experience the updated Marbella Longchair and Milano sofa with Kvadrat textiles, and explore custom seating solutions designed for luxury residential and commercial environments. Pricing varies by configuration and customization level, with final specifications determined through Moovia’s dealer and integrator network.
