(December 8, 2020) MOON has announced the release of a new streaming module that brings Apple AirPlay 2 functionality to its stable of audio streaming products. AirPlay 2 adds to MOON’s already impressive streaming capabilities, which includes Roon, TIDAL Masters, Deezer Hi-Fi, Qobuz Sublime+, and its own MiND 2 (MOON Intelligent Network Device) streaming module and app.
AirPlay 2 allows Apple owners to stream from any iOS device, with the benefit of multi-room playback and Siri voice control. In addition to sharing common audio between AirPlay 2 devices in multiple rooms, the technology allows for individual rooms to play different media. Additionally, guests with Apple devices can join the fun, adding their own music to a playlist.
MOON’s export sales manager, Etienne Gautier, says MOON’s premium connectivity solutions have “always been at the heart of what we do.” Adding: “AirPlay 2 gives our customers a truly complete range of options.”
