We caught up with Demetri Franklin of Monoprice at CES 2023 and got the low-down on performance AND pricing across what are sure to be popular products!

See if any of them are listed as suitable for Atmos. I've not found such a reference nor gotten any replies to my question. It may not matter but they list almost every other CODEC.

Hi Kal, interesting question. The fact that they meet HDMI 2.1a standards would indicate (to me) that they have the bandwidth to properly accommodate Lossless Atmos. Perhaps including Atmos in marketing materials requires a fee?

I’ll get an answer…

Thanks. I needed an HDMI switch and considered the Monoprice but they were unable to reassure me about Atmos.

Ah! I thought you were talking cables. Now I see where you’re going with this. I reached out… hopefully they’ll have an answer.

Sorry. I quickly scanned the title of the YT clip and mistakenly assumed it was about their new switches.

It’s about both… but can only cram so much on the thumbnail ;-)

I’ll have a definite response for you today…

So here's the answer from Monoprice:

Audio formats: LPCM , Dolby Digital/Plus/EX, Dolby True HD, DTS, DTS-EX, DTS-96/24, DTS high Res, DTS-HD Master Audio, DSD.

Monoprice says “This is for the audio out. The pass through on HDMI is pretty agnostic, because we have no need to decode it.”

Thanks. I suppose if I didn't already have a solution I might give them a try although its not an entirely explicit recommendation.
