Is it not possible to save the room dimensions you enter In the EQ tab > Modal Analysis drop down?
also unlike room sim it does not seem possible to only to show axial modes

The values are loaded from the measurement, any changes you make to the dimensions are saved in the measurement. Room dimensions for measurements default to zero, but I have made a change for the next beta to initialise measurements with the dimensions from the room simulator. There are no selectors for the modal lines on that graph (or other measurement graphs that show modal lines) but you can limit the lines to modes for a single axis by setting the other two dimensions to zero.

Thanks John
porting the dimensions from Room Sim > into the Modal analysis tab in REW EQ page would be perfect
that will allow me to see the room modes in the All SPL page without continually having to input the room dimensions

I downloaded the latest BETA 56 but it now appears that "Show modal frequencies" on the measurement page isn't working?

It works for me. Nothing will appear if the measurement doesn't have room dimensions.

Just checked again and I can see what is happening
when I open REW
my room dimensions show in Room Sim and they also show in EQ > modal analysis tab
(I noted that although there are room dimensions no modes are shown on the EQ graph)

but if I open a saved file the EQ > modal analysis tab room dimension values go to zero
if I then manually input the room dimensions again in the EQ > modal analysis tab the modes now show on the graph

closing REW and reopening and we are back to square one
regards
Andy

Per post 2, room dimensions are stored in the measurement. If you change them (or enter them if they were zero) and don't save the changed measurement, your changes will be lost. From beta 56 room dimensions for new measurements are initialised to the room simulator values.

Thanks John
apologies for not fully understanding post 2
I opened a old file and input my room dimensions in modal analysis then saved the file again closed REW and reopened REW and the file again and now see that it works fine

I note that you suggest limit the lines to modes for a single axis by setting the other two dimensions to zero. which is fine
but there are selectors for the modal lines shown in Room Sim
could these not be utilised for the measurement and EQ charts?

There are 7 selectors for modal lines in the simulator, it just seems like too many controls to add to the dialog for limited benefit.
