Mic Pre-amp Recommendation

I'm new here....
I'm looking to purchase a dual channel mic pre-amp suitable for acoustic measurements on laptops and iOS devices ie with option of USB or internal power.
Only one I can find is the Studio Six iAudioInterface2. An alternative is the Tascam US-1X2 Audio Interface but requires external 5.1v.
Anyone have a recommendation?

PreSonus Studio 24c is bus-powered and budget friendly. I used it until I realized I needed more i/o and hotter outputs (wall wart powered), so I upgraded to a Studio 68c. PreSonus products are top of the line in my book and their software is great.
