Measuring loudspeaker dynamic compression?

Hi, is there an automated test in REW that maps out the upper headroom limitations of a speaker across the spectrum?

I'm thinking of a repetitive sweep of slowly increasing amplitude and intelligence to stop the test once the speaker falls behind the signal by, let's say, 1 or 2dB. I know I can manually run a ton of sweeps and stack them together myself but is there a more automated way to accomplish this?

Thank you.

No. The stepped level test will step a single tone and can be stopped at a specified THD percentage, but there isn't an overall compression test.

Hi John,

So if I wanted to compare my subs that have PEQ's added vs NO PEQ's for compression issues, is there a way in REW

Thanks

Jim
