(May 15, 2025) HARMAN Luxury Audio has pulled back the curtain on a trio of new reference-grade components under its revered Mark Levinson brand. Designed and assembled in the United States, the series includes the № 626 Dual-Monaural Preamplifier, the № 632 Dual-Monaural Amplifier, and the flagship № 631 Monaural Amplifier.
Built to meet the expectations of the most demanding listeners, the 600 Series expands on Mark Levinson’s well-documented design philosophy, Pure Path, while flexing its Tectonic industrial aesthetic. That design starts with a sculpted chassis made from solid aluminum and is finished with signature red illumination beneath volcanic glass—the result is invigorating and eye-catching. Each component in the line also employs mechanically isolated feet and modular architecture intended to reduce noise, vibration, and interference, preserving the signal’s integrity from input to output.
The most versatile of the new models, the № 626 preamplifier, is an analog-first design augmented by a modern digital engine. At its core is the Precision Link III DAC, capable of decoding up to 32-bit / 384kHz PCM and native DSD through six digital inputs. The analog signal path remains fully balanced, and the unit includes a high-performance Pure Phono MM/MC input for turntables, as well as a Class A headphone amplifier. The № 626 also employs dual-monaural architecture and isolated power supplies for left and right channels, ensuring purity across the board.
For amplification, the 600 Series offers two distinct approaches to reference power. The № 632 is a dual-mono stereo amplifier built for system flexibility, while the flagship № 631 delivers full-throttle monaural power for loudspeakers that demand everything. Both models operate in Class A/AB mode and utilize massive toroidal power supplies—each housed in its own sealed chassis module—to deliver explosive headroom and authoritative dynamics. While the monaural version is all about scale and precision through a single channel, the stereo model offers listeners a more versatile approach without sacrificing fidelity or character.
Speaking about the launch, Jim Garrett, HARMAN Luxury Audio’s Senior Director of Product Strategy and Planning, said, “The Mark Levinson 600 Series reflects more than 50 years of mastering the art and science of sound. It’s about more than technical excellence—it’s about capturing the emotion, power, and nuance of a musical performance with breathtaking clarity. With its bold new design and uncompromising performance, the 600 Series pays tribute to our legacy and sets out to exceed the expectations of the most discerning listeners.”
The 600 Series is expected to ship in Q4 2025. Pricing is set at $25,000 (USD) for the № 626, $30,000 for the № 632, and $40,000 for a single № 631 monaural amplifier.
