mac problems

hi ive tried running rew on mac but cant get arcam avr20 to handshake with it using a hdmi cable to mac book pro and a usb to macbook from mini dsp 2x4hd and a umik1
no sound at all

What MacBook model do you have? What adapter are you using to connect the Mac to the AVR? Post a screenshot of your settings in Audio MIDI Setup.app.
