(August 6, 2025) CEDIA Expo has long been the place to experience jaw-dropping home cinema demos, but Sound Room 11 at this year’s show might just steal the spotlight. Under the theme Paragons of Home Cinema: Power, Precision, and Perfection, Lumagen is leading the charge with a $174,000 theater system designed to prove just how far a mid-five-figure investment can go. This isn't about over-the-top extravagance. It’s about showing what can be achieved through careful equipment selection, proper room integration, and a commitment to performance.
At the core of the demo is Lumagen’s Radiance Pro 5244 video processor, a piece of gear known for delivering high-level video scaling, dynamic HDR tone mapping, and critically low latency. Its precise lip-sync control and ultra-low jitter design help maintain audio integrity while elevating the visual experience. With a retail price of $8,745, it serves as the brain of the system, keeping every frame and every scene looking amazing and perfectly synchronized.
Handling visuals is Digital Projection’s brand new E-Vision 10000i 4K Plus RGB projector. Built around Texas Instruments’ latest HEP point eight DMD chip and fueled by a pure RGB laser light engine, the projector delivers Rec 2020 color performance while avoiding the typical artifacts associated with single-chip DLP systems. Improved contrast, better grayscale, and enhanced fill factor contribute to a highly dynamic image that lives up to the showcase's cinematic ambition.
To match that performance, Seymour-Screen Excellence is presenting its TRIM motorized masking screen. Measuring 120 inches wide in a 16:9 configuration, TRIM uses motorized fabric velvet masks that adjust in real time to various content aspect ratios, with the Lumagen processor handling control duties. The Radiant White screen surface ensures a crisp, even image, and like all of Seymour’s offerings, it is hand-built in Iowa. MSRP for the TRIM screen with controls lands under $11,000.
Audio will be handled by a fully immersive 9.4.6 Dolby Atmos speaker configuration from NextLevel Acoustics. At the front of the room, Cinema Pro LCR speakers will hold court, joined by Cinema 8 surrounds and rears and CI-IC44A models in the height layer. Four high-velocity 15-inch subwoofers round out the low end. The entire 19-speaker package is valued at a CEDIA-reasonable $52,000.
Signal processing is led by Trinnov’s Altitude32 reference platform, a 24-channel processor that supports object-based audio playback with pinpoint precision. Inside this demo, it also serves as a showcase for Trinnov’s WaveForming technology, which enhances low-frequency clarity and ensures smoother bass response across multiple seats. Altitude’s software-based design allows owners to receive major feature upgrades over time, a unique benefit in an ever-evolving tech landscape.
Amplification comes courtesy of SPEAKERPOWER, which is debuting several new Class D models in Sound Room 11. The brand’s HTRx8 400 and HTRx4 700 amplifiers will drive the speakers and subwoofers, delivering clean power from a compact and efficient chassis. MSRP starts at $1,499, though special introductory pricing will be available at the show for attendees interested in upgrading their systems.
To ensure comfort meets performance, the room will feature two full rows of seating from Valencia Theater Seating. The front row includes the Barcelona Ultimate Luxury Edition recliners, finished in premium Italian Nappa leather and equipped with power headrest and lumbar controls. Behind them, Valencia’s Tuscany seats rise up on a dedicated platform, complete with stitched leather finishes, LED lighting, and hidden storage. The result is a space that looks as good as it performs.
Sound Room 11 is scheduled to run throughout the show. Participating partners will be on-sight to answer questions.
