Do you have a general idea as to when the G4 will land? I know they're saying March, but that leaves a pretty big range!

Just got another update from LG that our first allocation/shipment of G4 and C4 OLED TVs are now scheduled for the week of March 18th.

The 97" G4 will be a a month later.

Robert, when customers come to you for a TV and they’re talking about the things that matter, how often does the Smart TV functionality rise to the top? Do you have instances where a customer will refuse to look at LG because of webOS? (Not that there’s anything wrong with webOS… just using it as an example).

I don't use the Sony UI - I prefer the FireCube. I'd be curious if the WebOS is any better than what Sony uses, which I guess is Google TV.

Customers do frequently ask me to demo the TV's Smart TV interface. Their are some advantages to use the TV's built-in apps and some disadvantages. Just two of the advantages are they do you not have to buy anything or use one of the HDMI inputs. Also the TV's built-in apps stream the content directly to the processor.

Several of my Post Production video engineer friends have told me "the best streaming device is Apple TV".

That's interesting. I guess I'm old school in my way of thinking, which is in terms of set-top cable boxes and Blu-ray players! I can see how most folks want to plug the TV in and run everything off apps.

I think Apple TV is phenomenal... we run all Direct TV Stream along with all of the various streaming services we've subscribed to using Apple TV 4Ks around our home. They're a little expensive to bring in 4 or 5, but if you're savvy, you can find good deals on refurb units that work like new. I pulled a bunch of eBay.

My biggest complaint is the remote control, which can be frustratingly sensitive when navigating apps or fast-forwarding through shows.

Do you have a particular built-in OS system that you prefer?
