From Kaige Chen, the acclaimed director of Farewell My Concubine, LEGEND OF THE DEMON CAT stars Xuan Huang (Breaking the Waves), Shôta Sometani (Takashi Miike’s First Love), Yuqi Zhang (The Mermaid) and Hao Qin (The Nightengale).
LEGEND OF THE DEMON CAT won awards for Best Supporting Actress (Yuqi Zhang), Best Costume Designer (Tongxun Chen), Best Production Designer (Nan Tu, Wei Lu) and Best Visual Effects (Norio Ishii) and was nominated for Best Director (Kaige Chen) and Best Cinematographer (Yu Cao) at the 2018 Asian Film Awards.
