So I finally figured out how to get flexasio to work, but when I run a response of left plus sub in Java, then run left plus sub in asio the response is totally different. Also I noticed when I run the front 3 speakers in asio the sub is always outputting but when I output on the sides and rear speakers the sub doesn’t output so I have to do a 2nd output but then it sounds like 2 different sweeps are being played. Receiver is a anthem mrx720, umik1 and hooked up with HDMI. Am I doing something wrong? Why are the graphs different only changing between Java and asio

Checked it again. 3 ways.
1. 2 purple - Java
2. Green and dark yellow - flex asio - windows direct sound.
3. Red and blue - flex asio - windows win-ks

I checked my anthem arc sub response average off all seats and it looks very very close to the Java response. My guess is somethings up with asio.

The Java drivers on Windows can only produce a left/right stereo signal. How that is treated will depend on the receiver's settings, but there isn't a way to send a signal directly to the sub with the Java drivers unless you connect directly to the sub from a soundcard output.

Using ASIO over HDMI sends multichannel linear PCM signals. In that case signals can be sent to individual channels, and the receiver should be in a suitable mode to accept them. Note, however, that the receiver will add 10 dB of gain to signals on the LFE channel.

If left and right are set as bass limited they will redirect low frequency content to the sub, so sending a signal on the left channel using the Java drivers would generate output from left and sub. With ASIO the behaviour may be different, if you send a signal on both left and LFE channels the sub may get the redirected bass from the left channel summed with the LFE channel signal, or it might only get the LFE channel signal. Depends whether the receiver applies bass management to multichannel linear PCM inputs.

Hmm that makes sense as when I do a secondary output and I do left channel and sub channel I can hear that the tones generated for the sweep sound slightly off from each other, and maybe that’s why I’m getting a big null at 63hz. Also when I run Java I am getting output on my sub channel and my receiver is in 2.0, in anthem arc I have redirected bass to sub so again that makes sense. So how will I be able to test with asio and not have the tones be off from each other?
