it stopped seeing the output (Topping DX5)

Version v5.30 was installed and worked perfectly for measurements. It saw the microphone and output (Topping DX5). Reinstalled the latest version v5.40 beta97 and it stopped seeing the output (Topping DX5). Tried all options (Java, Asio). 64-bit version and coated 32-bit version to check. Nothing helped.
Win10.

Meaning the device no longer appears as an output device? You can reinstall the previous version to check whether the 5.40 REW version is behaving differently, if it was older than 5.31.3 there are earlier builds on the History page.

PS Yes, it sees in the output preferences as Topping USB DAC but for the measurements it asks again to choose the output and there is no output available.
Unfortunately I am no longer sure which version was installed before (5.20 or 5.30)

This is on another PC, not connected to the network. A bit inconvenient. Screenshot from phone. Same thing if I switch to ASIO.

That could be because the DX5 is running at a different sample rate than 44.1 kHz. REW cannot control the rate for normal Java devices, only EXCL Java devices. Check the DX5 sample rate in the format selected on the Advanced tab of the Windows audio properties for the DX5, or in any application that controls its sample rate if there is one. Make sure REW and the mic are set to the same rate.

It might also be because some other application has locked the DX5 for its own use.

Thank you, it was exactly this problem with the sound card output settings. I set it to 44.1/16 and everything worked.
The strange thing is that I never had this problem before. Mysticism
