Is it possible to use Rode NT55 with omni capsule for measuring my room?

Hi,

I am completely new to using REW and I am wondering if it is possible to use my Rode NT55 with omni capsule for measuring my room? From my understanding I need a calibration file but I don't think I have one for this mic. Would it still be possible to use this mic?

Frequency response measurements would be “colored” by (i.e. include) the response of the mic. Wouldn’t go so far as to say the measurements would be useless, but I would not apply any speaker EQ based on them. However, uncalibrated mics can be useful for acoustics measurements such ETC, impulse, and RT60.

Thanks for the info. What mic would you recommend under around £200 for measuring my room?
