My pre/pro is the Marantz AV8805 with Audyssey Multi EQ XT 32. I recently upgraded my front three speakers to an open baffle design. Sensitivity is 97 dB and 8 Ohms. I kept my SVS Ultra surrounds. Sensitivity 87 dB and advertised at 8 Ohms but most folks believe they are 4 Ohms. I ran Audyssey for the first time this morning using the App. The new front three speakers were very loud during the process. The results were interesting. Audyssey set the levels of all three front speakers at -12 which I believe is the maximum reduction.
So now what? I don't know of any way to lower volume for Audyssey. All other measurements (distance, etc.) looked reasonable. I think I will manually adjust all speakers to 75 dB using an SPL meter. That seems to be my best course of action.
